lau-fi: I just tried to listen to an Avril Lavigne song for a friend, because she suggested it and I’m willing to compromise the integrity of my Youtube algorithm, and this is what happens in the second before she starts scatting; it’s a problematic sign from the fan universe that we can’t not take seriously. In this song she “can’t not be what she is” and she is “not the milk and cheerios in your spoon” and I tried, I tried! “creativity could never bloom in my room.” if avril could make this song, think about what each of us can do. but how can you hate on this? everything is so confusing. like i’m defending a pop star i don’t even really care about. why? why?
