allabouttoriamos: Happy 20th Anniversary Little Earthquakes! little earthquakes changed my life 20 years ago when i didn’t think that anyone felt like me; i still have phil’s cd and i’m listening to it right now. “got a kick for a dog begging for love” on a song called “crucify” was extra-resonant in my catholic schoolgirl days. “precious things” is one of my top five important songs of all time because i didn’t know it had happened to anyone else. “yes i know what you think of me you never shut up” is funnier as an adult. phil and i made plans to see tori in concert right before he died. i’ve still never seen her. i can’t believe it’s been 20 years but, in a way, thank god. i have so much more to say about that, now that i’m back in ny, but i’m too tired to write. i’m going to focus on listening to “tear in your hand” and then “little earthquakes” on repeat. i still feel it.
